Key Responsibilities:
- Be able to effectively communicate with customers during the initial face to face greeting and/or on the phone
- Inspect roofs for structural integrity
- Retrieving photos of Job sites
- Verifying paperwork matches job site description
- Occasionally transport materials and equipment to job sites
- Be able to effectively communicate with the Sunvena scheduling team
- Fill out, by hand and or computer site survey sheets needed by the Engineering department to produce permit-ready documents, uploading data to the project management system.
- Use measurements of surveying equipment to determine property lines and boundaries
- Follow a schedule to ensure customer satisfaction and production
- Upload information and details of a job site to plan designers
- Capable of working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs, and performing repetitive duties such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time.
- Maneuver through Attics
- Be able to use company tools and equipment provided such as hand tools, measuring devices, etc.
- Ability to succeed in a fast paced, community environment
- An ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal skills to communicate with city employees, fellow team members, clients and legal council.
- Surveyors must show a high level of attention to detail.
- Focus on meeting scheduled arrival times is crucial. Arrive at work as needed as early as 7:00am and comfortable with various working hours (infrequent evening hours), including weekends.
- Surveyors will spend the majority of their time traveling to and from site visits. Strict adherence to any and all local driving laws is a must. The Surveyor will be required to follow all company safety policies as well. A valid FL drivers license is required for employment and meet requirements of company insurance carrier
- The Surveyor will need to follow all company safety protocols when it comes to ladder and rooftop operations.
- Comfortably able to lift 50-70 lbs, and work in varying temperatures.
- Basic roofing knowledge
- Understanding of solar PV equipment and installation standards
- Basic knowledge of Basic commercial and residential electrical and structural systems
- Knowledge of operating a drone.
- Proficient with computers and the following applications: Microsoft Word, Excel & GoogleSuite
