As a Virtual Registered Nurse Care Coordinator/Case Manager specializing in Genetics, you will play a critical role in managing patient care remotely, ensuring all consults are triaged, results are communicated promptly, and patient information is accurately maintained. - Ensure all incoming consults are triaged within two business days of receipt.
- Contact patients with negative results within three business days of receiving them.
- Maintain minimal errors while updating the patient tracker with relevant information.
- Ensure consults to any other service are input and ready for signature.
- Adhere to established medication policies and procedures; no sample medications shall be provided to patients.
- Report any obstacles to performance measures monthly.
- Ensure that all telehealth services are provided during VA National TeleOncology Business Hours:
- Current license to practice nursing in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. All licenses must be full and unrestricted.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or an equivalent.
- Must keep all continuing education courses required for maintaining certification up to date.
- Proficiency in English, including speaking, understanding, reading, and writing fluently.
- Ability to provide verifiable evidence of all educational and training experiences, including any gaps in educational history.
- Experience in telehealth services is a plus.
- Previous experience working at a VA hospital is preferred but not required.
