Medical Technician- $17-$22 per hour

AGS is currently seeking a Medical Technician for our team.

The incumbent of this position provides direct patient care and related support to nursing personnel. This position is under the direction of the Registered Nurse in charge.

This is a “mandatory-testing” position that requires Drug Testing.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks, including but not limited to,  accurately documenting patient histories and complaints in the health care record or EMR

Assists medical providers and nurses in providing emergency care

Performs and documents vital signs

Provides medication administration, per physician and mid level practitioner orders

Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and verifies operational status of health services equipment and supplies to ensure ready for use

Continuously practices safety and environmental and infection control procedures

Communicates effectively while maintaining a positive attitude with other health care professional staff members

Follows all related federal, state, jail health care, and Escambia County Board of County Commissioner’s policies, regulations, and guidelines

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must possess credentials to practice in the state of Florida.
