AGS is seeking an Psychiatric Technician for our team.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Follows all standards and patient care protocols, all federal, state, correctional health care standards, and the Alabama County Board of County Commissioner’s policies, regulations, and guidelines.
Monitors patients’ physical and emotional well-being and report to on how the treatment is working or any unusual symptoms that need professional attention.
Consults with other practitioners and related staff, as appropriate in the performance of therapeutic duties.
May assist in patient assessment, therapeutic activities, treatment plan development and implementation, addictive disorders, and treatment evaluation.
Assist in maintaining health services records logs and assists with data entry within the scope of mental health related items.
Intervenes to restrain violent or potentially violent or suicidal patients by verbal or physical means as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
This position is under the direction of the Director of Mental Health. The Psychiatric Technician will help care for people who have a mental illness and/or developmental disabilities.
Mandatory Testing Position: Requires Drug Testing

Qualifications:
Must possess credentials to practice in the state of Alabama.
