Medical Support Assistant are the front line support for VA Medical Centers and Community Based Outpatient Clinics nationwide. The opportunity is for a long term contract, if you feel you meet the basic criteria and want to learn more, feel free to apply.

Job Description: 
  • Perform clerical and office duties and provide customer service.
  • Help determine a clinic’s daily needs, verify and update insurance information if needed.
  • Assures all visitors and telephone calls are answered and referred in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Performs scheduling, canceling, re-scheduling of patient appointments and consults.
  • Update and verifies patient demographic information if needed.
  • Provides information regarding clinic and hospital policies, procedures and locations to patient(s), family members, and staff.
  • Maintains patient’s confidential records.
  • Scan and enters information into VISTA, CPRS database.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to apply
  • Subject to pass a background/security investigation
  • Six months experience of clerical, office, customer service, or other administrative work that indicates the ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position.

This position is contingent upon the need of they Department of Veterans Affairs

  • Location: must reside 50 miles within Philadelphia 
  • Work Schedule: Shifts available are 4:00PM-12:00AM,  12:00AM-8:00AM
  • Compensation: $17.20 – $20.20 per hour
