Medical Support Assistant are the front line support for VA Medical Centers and Community Based Outpatient Clinics nationwide. The opportunity is for a long term contract, if you feel you meet the basic criteria and want to learn more, feel free to apply.
Job Description:
- Perform clerical and office duties and provide customer service.
- Help determine a clinic’s daily needs, verify and update insurance information if needed.
- Assures all visitors and telephone calls are answered and referred in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Performs scheduling, canceling, re-scheduling of patient appointments and consults.
- Update and verifies patient demographic information if needed.
- Provides information regarding clinic and hospital policies, procedures and locations to patient(s), family members, and staff.
- Maintains patient’s confidential records.
- Scan and enters information into VISTA, CPRS database.
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to apply
- Subject to a background/security investigation
This position is contingent upon the need of they Department of Veterans Affairs
- Monday-Friday day shift
- Compensation: $17.20 – $21.00 per hour
